About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer – L3 Support / BAU with strong experience supporting web-based applications and reporting platforms. This role focuses on resolving complex production issues, troubleshooting and debugging applications, optimizing SQL-based reporting solutions, and ensuring the stability and performance of existing systems.

The ideal candidate is proactive, self-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of production incidents from investigation through resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
• 4–8 years of industry experience , with significant hands‑on experience in L3/BAU application support for web-based applications.
• Strong experience with SSRS or similar SQL-based reporting tools .
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server and SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, query optimization, and debugging.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices , application support processes, and source control tools such as GitHub .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to independently own incidents while collaborating across teams.
• Availability to overlap with US-based teams .

Nice to Have

• Experience with Sigma and/or Power BI .
• Exposure to applications hosted on Microsoft Azure .

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 and BAU support for web-based applications and act as a primary technical point of contact for application incidents.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, performance problems, bugs, and system errors , minimizing application downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement or recommend preventive improvements.
• Support and troubleshoot SQL-based reporting platforms , including SSRS, and work with reporting solutions such as Sigma or Power BI when applicable.
• Query, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server , including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and related database components.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for reliability and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to investigate issues and implement technical improvements.
• Participate in the testing and deployment of application updates, patches, enhancements, and bug fixes .
• Create and maintain SOPs, application support documentation, and end-user troubleshooting guides , and provide user training when required.
• Maintain clear communication with technical teams, business stakeholders, and users throughout incident resolution.
