Our team: Pearson’s English Language Teaching team in Colombia works with schools, institutions, and partners to bring high-quality learning solutions to more students and educators. In Bogotá, this role will help us grow our presence in the institutional market and build strong, long‑term customer relationships.

About the Role:

We are looking for an ELT Sales Specialist to join our Colombia Sales team, based in Bogotá. This role focuses mainly on the K‑12 institutional market in Bogotá Central, opening new school accounts, managing smaller accounts, and growing Pearson’s presence through consultative, relationship‑led sales.

You will prospect new clients, manage your pipeline in Salesforce, work closely with distributors when needed, and connect schools and institutions with Pearson’s English learning ecosystem. The role may also explore opportunities in universities and private language institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect, map, and open new institutional accounts, mainly within the K‑12 segment in Bogotá Central.

• Achieve annual sales targets and contribute to market share growth in the assigned territory.

• Manage daily sales activity, pipeline updates, forecasting, and customer interactions in Salesforce.

• Build trusted relationships with school directors, academic coordinators, and institutional decision‑makers.

• Partner with distributors and internal teams to support client visits, presentations, events, and commercial opportunities.

• Identify growth opportunities beyond schools when relevant, including universities and private language institutions.

Required skills and experience:

• Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, or institutional relationship management.

• Experience with schools, educational institutions, B2B services, technology, corporate training, or publishing is a plus.

• Strong prospecting mindset, resilience, autonomy, and discipline to manage a hunter‑oriented sales routine.

• Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage academic and business stakeholders.

• Hands‑on experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.

• Functional English is required, especially to work with Pearson’s English Language Teaching portfolio.

• Based in Bogotá, with availability to visit clients locally and regionally as needed.
