Role Summary and Impact

As part of the Global Operations Centre (GOC), you will work closely with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We are looking for a  Business Operations Specialist – Cloud who will drive cloud financial management, cost analysis, and optimization across the Media cluster, supporting FinOps delivery in close partnership with Finance and Technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. FinOps Delivery Support & Media Cluster Partnership:
   Work in close partnership with the central FinOps team to support FinOps activities related to the Media cluster. Provide Finance execution support where capacity is constrained and act as a consistent Finance point-of-contact for Media cloud cost topics.

2. Cloud Spend Analysis & Financial Insight:
   Analyse Media cloud spend to identify key cost drivers, trends, and variances. Support the improvement of cost attribution (e.g., allocation, tagging quality, cost centre alignment) to increase transparency and translate cloud cost data into clear financial insights for Finance and Technology stakeholders.

3. Cloud Cost Optimisation Support:
   Collaborate with FinOps, Tech Ops, and Global Product teams to identify and validate cloud cost optimisation opportunities. Assist in defining baselines, estimating savings, tracking delivery, and maintaining visibility of optimisation activities, risks, and realised benefits.

4. Forecasting, Budgeting & Actuals Support:
   Support budgeting, forecasting, and actuals variance tracking for Media cloud spend, ensuring accurate alignment between operational consumption and financial planning.

5. Reporting, Governance & Continuous Improvement:
   Support the production of consistent, Finance-quality reporting and showback information for Media stakeholders. Ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails in line with WPP Finance policies, while contributing to the refinement of FinOps trackers, templates, and ways of working between Finance, FinOps, and Technology teams.

Skills and Experience

If this opportunity looks right for you, we are looking for candidates who have:

1. 3+ years of experience in IT Finance or Tech Finance as a Financial Analyst with strong skills in cost analysis, modeling,variance explanation and IT Budgeting experience is a MUST.
2. Bachelor's degree is a must
3. Advanced English level (Written & speaking) (this will be assess during the interview process)
4. Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex data analysis); exposure to Microsoft Copilot or AI tools is a plus.
5. Experience with ERPs and CRMS.
6. Understanding of Cloud costs & FinOps concepts (or a strong learning mindset) to analyze consumption-based spend, challenge data, and identify savings.
7. Experience in large, complex matrix organizations or global tech/services companies, collaborating across international regions.
8. Self-driven & proactive mindset with the ability to work independently, reach out to stakeholders to ask the right questions, and bring structure to financial data.
