At CGI, we are looking for an Oracle (PL/SQL) Developer to join an international project.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- Conversational English level B2 or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps / platform / infrastructure engineering experience on a major cloud platform.
- Proven track record independently owning a production environment end to end — not in a supporting or "assisted the senior engineer" capacity.
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving production deployment and infrastructure failures under time pressure, including root-cause analysis across pipelines, cluster, and networking layers.
- Strong, hands-on networking competence — ingress, load balancing, DNS, TLS, firewalls, and the production request path — sufficient to independently own and debug the network layer, not just consume it. (This area is currently owned by the outgoing engineer and must be fully covered by the replacement.)
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps strongly preferred, equivalent — Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions — considered).
- Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes in production, including cluster provisioning and workload management (AKS preferred).
- Hands-on Helm chart authoring and management — non-negotiable.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code and a clear grasp of IaC principles, transferable to proprietary tooling.
- Solid scripting ability (PowerShell and/or Bash, Python a plus).
- Experience operating production systems at high throughput / enterprise scale.
- Ability to step into an existing, established environment — including systems and pipelines built by others, with incomplete documentation — and quickly read, maintain, and extend them.
- Competent and effective use of AI engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) as a productivity multiplier, with the ability to critically evaluate, debug, and correct AI-generated pipeline and infrastructure code rather than accept it blindly. Basic working knowledge of AI tool context management and sound prompting/workflow practices.
- At least one current, relevant cloud or Kubernetes certification as evidence of foundational competence — for example Azure (AZ-400 or AZ-104), CKA, or an equivalent AWS/GCP credential. Vendor is not the deciding factor, the certification is a baseline-knowledge guard, not a stack requirement.
- Ability to ramp quickly in a complex environment and operate with a high degree of autonomy, with the ability to align business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain CI/CD deployment and validation pipelines in Azure DevOps across production and non-production environments.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure as code using the team's internal/proprietary IaC tooling.
- Maintain and operate Azure environments and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and cost-awareness.
- Own and manage the platform's networking — ingress, load balancing, DNS, TLS, and connectivity between services and environments.
- Provision, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes (AKS) clusters and workloads, including Helm-based deployments.
- Provide off-hours deployment support for scheduled production releases and maintenance windows.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Standardize and improve DevOps practices, reducing release friction and operational overhead for engineering teams.

Nice to have:
- Direct experience with Microsoft Azure (AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure SQL, ACR) and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Experience with container image build/promotion workflows.
- Terraform experience, and familiarity with Harness for CD (the team will be adopting Harness, transferable CI/CD pipeline experience is a strong plus).
- NGINX configuration and management experience (ingress, reverse proxy, load balancing).
- Background supporting mature, multi-environment platforms with established deployment governance.

Additional Skills:
- Seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an established, fast-moving delivery team building high-throughput, event-driven enterprise systems on Azure. This is a backfill on a mature team with existing pipelines, infrastructure patterns, and conventions already in place, the priority is an experienced engineer who can ramp quickly, get their bearings in a complex environment, and take ownership of the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure with minimal hand-holding. The role partners closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to keep deployments reliable and the platform healthy across all environments at enterprise scale.
