Client Onboarding Analyst — Account Services & Client Experience

As a Client Onboarding Analyst at Citi, you will play a central role in how institutional financial clients are brought onto one of the world’s leading banking platforms — managing the full account opening and maintenance process while serving as a primary point of contact across North America and Latin America (LATAM) portfolios. This is a bilingual, client-facing position that combines operational precision with project coordination, giving you direct influence over the quality and speed of onboarding outcomes across a global client base. Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of client account opening, product activation, and maintenance requests, ensuring each is delivered accurately and within agreed service timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional clients across North America and LATAM, handling queries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high standard of client communication in both English and Spanish.
• Coordinate across global and cross-functional teams to deliver project activities within the account services space, keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned throughout each workstream.
• Review and verify client documentation, confirm system configurations, and define account requirements to ensure all onboarding scenarios are correctly covered from the outset.
• Monitor client satisfaction and service performance, identifying process gaps and implementing targeted improvements that directly enhance the client experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational procedures and regulatory requirements, applying this consistently across all daily activities to uphold Citi’s compliance standards.
• Assess risk in operational decisions with transparency, escalating control concerns promptly and upholding Citi’s standards of ethical conduct.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to manage high volumes of account operations simultaneously in a structured, deadline-driven environment without compromising accuracy or client outcomes.
• Advanced bilingual proficiency (B2 or above) in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate complex or sensitive information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong attention to detail combined with analytical thinking, enabling accurate review of client documentation, identification of discrepancies, and delivery of sound recommendations.
• Capability to handle escalations and urgent situations effectively, setting clear expectations with clients and internal partners and resolving issues with minimal disruption.
• Project management skills sufficient to coordinate and deliver across multiple concurrent workstreams in a client-facing operational setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with direct experience engaging clients in a professional capacity.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Between one and three years of experience in documentation review, account maintenance, or Cash Management products within a financial services environment.
• Familiarity with account onboarding workflows, including the ability to interpret client requirements and translate them into operational or system-level actions.
• Experience managing multiple products or service lines simultaneously, with a track record of expanding product knowledge in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with AI tools or artificial intelligence applications as part of day-to-day operational or client service workflows.
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese, supporting broader regional client coverage across the LATAM portfolio.
