Backend Engineer (Java) at BairesDev

As a Backend Engineer, you will design and develop services and microservices using the JVM ecosystem. You will serve as a key contributor to building scalable integrations and robust server-side logic with Spring Boot at the core of our technical architecture.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement high-performance microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Manage data persistence and complex queries utilizing JPA, Hibernate, and SQL databases.
• Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines and messaging systems with Apache Kafka.
• Ensure code quality and system reliability through comprehensive unit testing using JUnit.
• Containerize applications and manage deployment environments using Docker to ensure consistency across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and optimize large-scale system integrations.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 11+ (17/21 preferred) and Spring Boot framework.
• Extensive experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of JPA/Hibernate and relational database management using SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization using Docker and event streaming with Kafka.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
