🚀 Senior QA Automation Engineer (AI & DevOps)

About the Opportunity

AlliedGlobal is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join an international engineering team and lead the design of a modern, scalable test automation ecosystem.

This is not a traditional QA Automation role. You'll be responsible for building the automation framework from the ground up , defining the overall testing strategy, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging the latest AI-powered engineering tools to improve software quality and delivery speed.

This is an initial 90-day full-time contractor engagement , with a strong possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

What You'll Do

Build a Test Automation Framework from Scratch

• Design, develop, and maintain a scalable, modular, and maintainable automation framework.
• Define the overall automation strategy across UI, API, integration, and performance testing.
• Establish automation standards, reusable components, reporting, and best practices.
• Implement design patterns such as Page Object Model, Screenplay, Factory, and other modern testing architectures.

⚙️ Drive Continuous Testing & DevOps

• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure automated execution triggered by pull requests, deployments, and code commits.
• Optimize execution time through parallel testing, containerization, and efficient pipeline design.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to enable rapid feedback and continuous quality.

Lead AI-Powered Quality Engineering

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
• Utilize LLM-based solutions, MCP (Model Context Protocol) agents, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar technologies to improve engineering productivity.
• Explore autonomous workflows and AI-driven automation for testing, infrastructure, and log analysis.
• Promote modern AI engineering practices across the QA process.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software QA Automation.
• Proven experience designing and implementing an automation framework from scratch.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following:
  • Python
  • Java
  • TypeScript / JavaScript
  • C#
• Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as:
  • Playwright
  • Selenium
  • Cypress
  • Appium
  • RestAssured
• Strong SQL skills and API testing experience.
• Solid understanding of test architecture and automation best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure DevOps , including:
  • YAML Pipelines
  • Deployment Pipelines
  • Service Connections
  • Pipeline Triggers
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools.
• Experience using AI engineering tools such as:
  • Claude Code
  • GitHub Copilot
  • MCP Agents
  • LLM APIs
  • n8n
  • Autonomous AI workflows
