Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager

We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead our 30-person engineering team distributed between the United States and Pakistan. This is a critical, long-term position for a servant-leader who excels at fostering collaboration across different cultures and time zones. The ideal candidate will have a balanced background in both agile project leadership and technology, enabling them to effectively manage a team working within a complex technical structure and addressing technical debt. You will work alongside an established team that includes a Tech Lead, a Business Analyst, and Product Analysts to drive projects forward and ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Facilitation: Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) for a large, distributed team, ensuring adherence to agile best practices.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary leader for a 30-person engineering team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between the US and Pakistan.
• Project & Delivery Management: Manage project deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Impediment Resolution: Proactively identify, track, and remove blockers to maintain team velocity and foster a cohesive, high-performing environment.
• Cross-Cultural Communication: Act as the main communication bridge between teams, effectively navigating cultural and geographic boundaries to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement and help mature the team’s agile practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Tech Lead, BA, and product analysts to guarantee project definitions are clear and technical execution is aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 7+ years of proven experience in an agile project delivery role (Scrum Master, Project Manager, etc.).
• Distributed Team Leadership: Demonstrated success managing large, international software teams, particularly across significant time zone differences.
• Agile Expertise: Deep knowledge of agile methodologies, principles, and frameworks (Scrum).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a high degree of emotional intelligence for navigating cross-cultural dynamics.
• Availability: Must be able to work a fully dedicated, full-time schedule starting at 6–7 AM CST to ensure sufficient overlap with both US and Pakistan teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Background: A background in software engineering or a similar technical field is highly desirable to effectively engage with a complex AWS-based infrastructure and technical debt.
• Cloud Experience: Familiarity with projects built on AWS .
• Certifications: Agile or Project Management certifications such as CSM, PSM, or PMP are a plus.
